Ghanaian Acquitted in Honduran Diplomat's Death
A Ghanaian man has been acquitted of criminal wrongdoing in the death of a Honduran diplomat. Sam Thompson's tractor-trailer slammed into Nuria Ortiz Navarro's car on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
A jury in Pennsylvania has found that there isn't enough evidence to support a vehicular homicide conviction against Thompson.
Thompson is a native of Ghana and an illegal immigrant.
Even though he's been acquitted, Thompson is back in jail because of his undocumented status.
His lawyer says he's married to a U.S. citizen and is trying to gain legal status
