This is a leap in the right direction. Dr. Arthur K's interview is a pragmatic intellectual display of what Ghana needs as a leader and what Arthur K intends to do for Ghana. His vision and mission are clear and well articulated. GBC or BBC needs to interview Dr. Arthur K for all to see and hear him speak. It will be a "capital crime" for Ghanaians to overlook what Dr. Arthur K could do for Ghana if elected the President. I wish him all the best. Reply to this

To All Ghananians: I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Arthur Kennedy. Dr. Kennedy served as the CEO of our medical facility for many years while I was a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Kennedy was not only an excellent physician, but he was also a savvy business manager. He exhibited the qualities of a good steward. Dr. Kennedy is a man who stood on principles. He never at any time yielded to any special group. He is a typical proud African. I love him as a brother. We are both proud to be from Africa. I am an elected official in this country. I ran for my present office in 1999 General election. I have been re-elected unopposed and I am running for my third term this year--November 2007. I know what I am talking about when I said that, Dr. Kennedy and I are proud of our accomplishments. I am proud to say that, Dr. Kennedy will surely make an excellent President of Ghana if elected. The people of Ghana has nothing to loose but everything to gain in electing Dr. Kennedy as the next President of Ghana. Believe you me, I am speaking from experience. People of Ghana, make your vote count by electing Dr. Kennedy who is well qualified to lead your country. A vote for Dr. Kennedy is a vote for progress. Reply to this

Well, being a CEO or manager or even a boss''does not mean that U can handle a country politics. The two are totally different-read abt Harding n to certain extend Moi Kibaki!
2ndly, I wonder if Arthur really knows what the heck is going on within the country now. Reading abt it is not the same as 'being there'.

There is no doubt Dr Kennedy has a lot of good vision for our country. He'll make a good consultant or a sector Minister, at least, if not a President, for any government that holds power in Ghana. We've known him as a good orator from his student days. We are yet to see if he can make some concrete impact with his oratory skills in a country like Ghana where laws and basic principles regulating life and society are thrown to the dogs. Thanks to our status quo and the old conservative technocrats who will still be at post on your return to show you their "mba" (me ba aha akye)attitude. They have allergy for change. Thanks to our belief in the fact that politics is about sapping deep into the pecuniary position that you find yourself to satisfy your greed without consequences(free and fair). I wonder if one's well-articulated vision will not be frustrated and lost in the midst of baggages brought onto the political table by the so-called financiers and stake-holders of a political group. Hopes he obtains the mandate from the delegates. History of how most delegates' conferences are conducted leaves a lot of doubt if this fine man will get the nod. Whatever be the result, let's allow him some platform to exercise his call to help Ghana. Being a participant observer-student in his days of students politics, I find some exaggeration and lopsidedness in his account of his relationship with the former PNDC regime. That is not very important anyway; what is important is lifting Ghana from the doldrums of development. My wish is that any government finds in him and others like him, true knowledge and skill for a better tomorrow for Ghana. These are sons of Ghana who have the desire and know-how to contribute to their motherland. We'll be doing ourselves a lot of disservice ignoring them. Let's not allow our political shades to divide us. Let's unite on a common vision. Long live Ghana! Reply to this
