DJ Stabs Lover

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service is appealing to members of the general public to help apprehend one Tommy Nortey aka Tommy Louis aka Sammy, a disc jockey (DJ) at Hot FM, an Accra-based radio station.

Tommy is wanted by the Police for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Esenam Maud Ameyibor, with the intention of killing her.

A warrant had been issued by the La District Magistrate Court in Accra, directing the Teshie District Police Commander to apprehend the suspect for attempted murder.

According to the Police, Tommy and the victim had been in a relationship for the past year. Recently however, the relationship turned sour, and the suspect began threatening the life of the victim.

The Police said on November 25, 2007, at about 11:15pm, the suspect attacked Esenam with a knife and stabbed her on the chest several times.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the victim was rescued by some good Samaritans who rushed her to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where she was treated.

Apart from being a disc jockey (DJ) at Hot FM, the suspect also works with a soft drink company. source: D Guide
