His overall performance as a president is mix, on the economy, president kufuor is the best Ghana ever had, kufuor has turned Ghana's economy around, when he took over in 2000, the debt that jj left was so big that few believed kufuor could fix it, now come to criminal justice, under kufuor leadership you had opposition leaders jailed on charges which aren't clear like tsatsu, but compare with jj's 21 year, kufuor was the better president and jj not only jailed opponents but also had them killed

The jailing of Tsatsu Tsikata is one clear Brutality of the justice system under kufuor's adm, what hurting you now? why you dislike the term btutalize that Emma used on kufuor, O.K what about a DICTATOR. LOL

what do you understand by the word dictator? may be you have to find it in your dictionary.remember the rule of law says no one is above the law.and for that the law must take its course where its due.thats why the matter rested at the court of law.how can one person enjoy from the coffers of the state.you must sometimes face facts. as sons and daughters this country,we need to do whats right at all times to move the nation forward.

Why is kuffuor noted for cocain in Africa and ndc circles? have you or rawlings taken cocaine with him? has he being caught of it. Just plain stupid talk from a pure dunce. sad to see modern ghanaians making such comments. Kuffuor is the best we ever had in our Politics, including Nkrumah and Busia. Imagine, if he had got the chance Nkrumah got? or ruled as long as rawlings? We wont be in this state. An achiever, who has brought joy and respect to his parents, family, tribe, political Party and country.

To be honest I never voted for kufuor for the 2 times he won the presidential election, looking at his achievements and the way he govern by the rule of law, I rate him 8 out of 10, the reason why I'm not giving him 10 out of 10 is because some selfish ministers in his administration got involve in narcotics and they got away with them without prosecution, not to say the ex-president kufuor did it, but when he found out, his actions were too soft.

The presidency of Mr. Kuffour has change the mentality of Ghanaian politicians , this means although they will enjoy all the facilities of the office positions but will also think about the country and misuse of position will determine their future the after their term in office. This is a positive mentality. Ghana is young in democracy but we do enjoy voting and is a good thing for all Ghanaians.

Mills was elected to the presidential seat, he is not a King. Leave God out of it, there is no such thing as a God chosen or rightful person, since we are not talking about the ascension of a royal stool. By the way there is only one King in Ghana, known as the Asantehene.
"NPP THIS IS THE TIME THE LORD HAS CHOSEN, LET'S ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON.GOD IS IN CONTROL HE CHOOSES KING.YOU DON'T BUY KING."
Better tell this your NDC party, we all know that Rawlings and his wife the as a daughter of the Kumase businessman J. O. T. Agyeman, did have a few allies among the Asante elite. One such was the extremely wealthy Kumase royal and Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive Akwasi Agyeman, a man whose driving ambition was to occupy the Golden Stool. Passed over in 1970, when Opoku Ware II became Asantehene, he had allied himself with Rawlings in the 1980s to secure government support when next the Golden Stool fell vacant. In 1999 his chance came at last. Rawlings was still in power, but the enormous political prize of installing a pro-NDC Asantehene eluded him. In truth, Rawlings, his wife and Akwasi Agyeman all overestimated the strength of their hands, and then overplayed them. Akwasi Agyeman's abrasiveness became an issue in a campaign that openly relied on the blunt instruments of government power and money. This served only to reinforce Asante kingmakers in their detestation of the NDC, and stories going around that government had offered suitcases full of cash to secure Akwasi Agyeman's election sealed the matter. Amidst angry declarations that the Golden Stool was not for sale to government, Asantehemaa Afua Kobi Serwaa Ampem II nominated and secured the election of her own son Kwaku Dua as Asantehene Osei Tutu II.
P.s. If they would have held free and fair elections,Nana had won by a huge margin.
Mills was not elected by the majority of Ghanaians. Although the NDC used all kind of manipulation tricks, they were only able to win by a very slight margin. JJ as it has been from 1997 and his voltarians decided to stuff ballot boxes to ensure the defeat of the NPP. They knew how much was in for themm considering the incoming oil money, therefore they had never allowed NPP to win the elections. If the elections had gone in favour of the NPP, the violent party-ndc would have turned Ghana into Kenya + Liberia x 2 because they were prepared to die. Nana Akufo Addo loves Ghanaians, therefore he decided to concede defeat in order to retain the peace and stability in the country. Now let them rule, so that all Ghanaians can witness that they will never be able will to deliver on the wild promises they made to the electorate.

get real nanama. it was a free and fair election. do u have a low IQ? the Ghanaian population made a choice and the Almighty God accepted it so whether its a samll margin or not majority carries the vote. the free education i think isn't helping ha. get a grib and move on.

I was disappointed with Kuffuor and his Ministers about the way they went about in the administration of the problems facing Ghana.
They behaves like villager (Nkrwasifuo) who have come to a city to tackle tasks which they had no ideal of.
All they were interested was to travel abroad like tourists rubbing shoulders with their white counterparts saying "yes sir" to them. They had no interest in the country economy nor suffering leaving the economy to the IMF representatives to direct them on what to do. The most needed of a country citizens is to have a clean water, electricity and food; these we in the west take for granted. All these, the government with Kuffuor failed Ghanaians. I am yet to see what the new administration on Mills will do to remedy Ghanaians misery of water, electricity and food which is a basic need. God Bless Mills and his administration for a change

There may be many chiefs in Ghana, but the Asantehene is a powerful Monarch and the only King in the country. Those who share the view that the Asantehene is just an ordinary chief are either ignorant of the unique Asante constitutional arrangement or are deliberately refusing to acknowledge the special position of the Asantehene in contemporary Ghana. If you can not deliver evidence to support your claim, then stop spreading your lies.
We Ghanaians are lucky to have a great monarchy in our midst and we don't have to toy with it.

Former President Kuffuor and his NPP regime did very well at the intial stages of their term. They managed to stabilized the Cedi against the other currencies.
They however lost touch with reality by their second term. They intensified the property owning policies and allowed themselves to amass wealth by hook or crook. Despite the prompting from concerned Ghanaians, they did not mind a heck. Eventually, they started to take loans from strange places including Hairdressing salons. They started spending lavishly on misplaced priorities including the shameful $50M borrowing to spend on celebrating 50th Independence anniversary which we're now understanding it's in excess of 78Million and nobody seem to be able to tell where the monies went. Cocaine under the watchful eyes of the police Chief went missing at the headquarter's and nobody was made to account for it.
As much as we acknowledge the good deeds of the Kuffuor regime, their bad deeds were far in excess and thank God for the change in government otherwise, apart from Hotel Kuffuor and the minister's Bungalow Jake was approved to buy among others, the NPP would have bought 2 or 3 of the ten regions in Ghana. LONG LIVE MOTHER GHANA.

I believe former president J A Kufuor will be remembered as on of the best (if not the best) Presidents this nation has ever had. It is good to be non partisan and not bring NPP or NDC politics in this issue. He was president of all Ghananaians. The peace we enjoyed, the rule of law, capitation grant, school feeding programe, National Health insurance, the five sports stadia he built, the renovation of city hotel, ambassador hotel, the Peduase Lodge, the building of the magnificient Golden Jubilee House, the Bui Dam and the economic policies that reduced inflation from over 40% to less than 20% and interest rate from over 50% to less than 30% were all done for all Gahanaians. On the international scene no son of Ghana surpass the gentle giant in projecting the name of Ghana on the globe in recent times. Please let Ghanaians allow this great son of Africa retire in peace. I pray for long life for our living two former presidents for Ghanaians to continually benefit from their rich experiences.

Agoo!!!! Ghanamba, I am very neutral about politics. This night glancing through the news in Ghana I am compelled to express my opinion as a Ghanaian citizen and a proud African. Personally, I am looking forward to advancement in african politics which practices investment into education, science and technology for Ghanaians to be able to make their own products out of the abundant raw materials we have. Ghana is so rich than many industrial counties. Just one leader capable to restructure and utilize our resources in a wise way to create more job vacancies to attract Ghanaians to stay in our country and enjoy the good of the nation, thats all we need. Education is the key to the modern day globilization etc. coming up to face our children. In our modern day world the Ghanaian child does not compete only in his environment in Ghana, but in a world where knowledge alone determines value in the job market, I believe these are the areas we must focus on to be able train Ghanaians well so that they could compete with the world. The fisherman, the farmer and anybody else needs education. It is the only key to competitiveness development and above all successes.
Workers must be well paid.
I will plead with one and all, the key solution to Ghana's problems is not about judging one president against the other. I am confident that we have the talent and the resources to create a better Ghana, a Ghana whose economie grows and shares the prosperity. Let us put in national commitment shaping a better nation. If we develop our good ideas, natural resources into productivity this will make Ghana prosperous. We shall all be happy and proud as Ghanaians. As parents take the primary responsibility of instilling ethic of hardwork into the educational achievement of their children, these parents expect the government also to suport them by improving educational, health and other public infrastructures for a better future. Productivity would enhance job opportunies in the country to avoid migration. This would go a long way to help the Ghanaian today and our children who are the future of the nation.
Avoid the unnecessary accusation of the authorities wasting time on past mistakes, judging politicts tribally etc. It is about our nation. Everyone who takes on government position must have the willings to serve with truth and honesty. For all the natural resources we have in Ghana, if we could manage it effectively, to be able to compet with the world market, there would be absolutely no need to smuggles drugs etc. The money generated from drug dealings is only for a while, but knowledge instilled in our children will determine the ability to produce more Doctors, Teachers, Engineers, Nurses and many other meaning profession that improves standard of living. It is time Ghanaian authorities understand that the fast rate at which our modern world is moving ,only with knowlege could one survive-We must all contribute.
thanks for moving on.

Kuffour's term was the worst presidency in the history of Ghana. There was total anarchy and abuse of the system.Corruption, crime and drugs're now part of Ghanaian culture due to the weakness and neglegiance f the administration.Ghanaians're poorer and more than ever divided under his era. There was nothing but bad policies. The only people who benefited under his leadership was himself, his family, friends and his minister. He is no different from previous presidents and heads os state.I am glad he is gone for good

Ex-Prez. Kufour and his whole group did well in stablizing the Cedis, but they sold ghana away to the Whites. Kufour gave a Dutch man a Village in Volter Rigion called Somey to the Owner of African Royal Beach Hotel. Baiscally, Kufour is a Criminal who gave a Village and its people to a White Man, he made him a King of Somey despite our Slave and Imperialistic History wiht the White People. He must be charged and be put in Prison. After all this, he bought yellow Buses for Accra so people will not notice what he has done to them. He is also a Rassist who hates other ghanaians who are not Ashanties go to: google:king of somey.
Kufour did not ask the People if he can do that.He is one of the people who want to be ruled by the white people all the time. What makes me angry is that, he is no more the President and therefore, if any problems and definatly there will be problems rising in that area very soon, Kufour is not going to take Responsiblity for that. He does not care about the ghanaians or anybody. For what, he is a "greatful slave" to the white people. The reason for giving the White Man the Village they claim is that; he developed the Village. Excuse me, His forfathers raped, killed, stoll and distroyed the contry and the whole Africa. If he develps one place and not even the whole Village, one does not need to make him a King over the Village.
Let´s change our beheviour of been greatful to the wrong people, if not we will not be free people!!!!
